Everyone should be aware that grades are due by 4:00 on Friday. Ellen sent out an e-mail outlining issues related to grades please be sure you have read and understand.
The PBS team will meet after the KEA meeting in the reclaiming room.
The public forum at Lincoln this Monday is the last opportunity to hear or make public comment on the new proposed middle school boundaries, until the recommendation goes to the school board.
Obviously there is a historic opportunity on Tuesday to help students understand the significance of the inauguration and what it might mean for our country. It is appropriate to discuss, clarify and view the events of the day if it is part of your lesson plan. We will try to provide a feed into the cafeteria during lunch time. We have two staff members who are traveling to Washington for the event, Vanessa and April R.

We will meet together in 415 for staff meeting on Monday and will break out into departments for continued conversation. On Wednesday we will meet for professional development. Richard Wood will direct our PD for this session. We will continue to focus on inquiry as a professional development area. We used the feedback we received from everyone in December as a basis for planning our continued focus on inquiry. This aligns with the
Everyone should be aware of our next scheduled Magnet evaluation date is February 24. We have to submit lesson plans for this evaluation by February 17. We will be in the medical technology unit. Tamela will be rolling out the curriculum design as the unit begins for the 4th marking period.
Vickie will assist teams with the posting of student work. We will need examples of quality work products created on team for display. One of our feedback areas was student work displays. They are specifically looking at student writing as an area of improvement and demonstration. Please plan for someone from each team to consult with Vickie to get displays posted in all of our hallways.
Molly is charged with coordinating all after-school activities and compiling usage numbers for our grant evaluation. She will be collecting data on student usage of after school tutoring from each team. She will need sign-in sheets from teachers who provide this service. We will standardize a format building wide for everyone to use.
Thursday during advisory we want to again provide students with the all assignments report as we are coming close to the end of the semester. We will have a broadcast from the studio at 2:00.
