1/2 Day of School, Records PM

We'll clarify the 1/2 schedule for Friday on the morning show this week.

Reminder that Monday is SIT and parent advisory meetings. There will be food available at 5:45 prior to the parent meeting.

Mr. Kendall will be visiting with us on Monday morning, doing walk-through training with me. We will try to visit 4-6 classrooms before he leaves.

I will share a significantly revised tardiness plan with staff at school improvement team meeting on Monday for feedback and I will then share it with students on Wednesday morning during the morning show. We hope to implement it at the beginning of new marking period on Dec. 3. I will ask that you review it and reinforce with students in your classes this week as the information becomes specific.

Thursday we are scheduled for an 8th grade school party 7th period. We will use the tier information that is put out this week along with the overdue list Jan will create as a general guideline for participation. 8th grade teams should plan appropriately for some staff to attend the party with students and for some to be in class with nonparticipating students.

We are currently scheduled to give the 8th grade explore test on December 21, to 8th grade students. This is a 8th grade version of the ACT and the district wants kids to be exposed to this format and general contents in advance. I will forward additional information as I get it.
