1/2 day of School - PM Schedule


A reminder to 7th grade teams that project Sentry will be delivered in your 7th grade classrooms this week, per Mary Hoyle's arrangements. This program is designed to introduce middle schoolers to the issue of gun violence. This program was developed by Kalamazoo Public Safety after the last year of gun violence in our city.

I will be discussing a school talent show on Monday at 3:30 in the main office with Rana and Meagan if anyone else would like to sit in or join us we welcome your ideas and energy.

Teachers if you have any feedback forms from Friday's visit by the high school Ignite program please forward them to Kevin Moore so that they can get to the appropriate individuals.

We have a 1/2 day of professional development on Friday. We'll have sandwiches brought in at 10:45 so that we can begin PD at 11:30 and we'll be done by 2:30. Rick and Helen will be with us and we'll be looking at our magnet curriculum in relations to the GLCE's, this seems to be the biggest concern everyone has with curriculum planning.

Tamela Brown begins with our staff Monday. Tamela is officially hired the building curriculum integration teacher and she will work out of the office next to Diane Rogers. Atiba McKissack and Melissa Williams have begun work on as new technology staff effective last week. They are working out of the office spaces in the 7A hallway. Allison Combs has taken the long term technology position created because of Atiba's position change.

I believe we are scheduled for a PM schedule on Friday, we will run the schedule on the morning show.
