We will have a voluntary staff meeting on Monday at 2:30 in room 415. Apparently there was an agreement to forgo PD in March so that all staff can be required to be in attendance at Literacy Night. Which is Monday, March 10. We will cover magnet curriculum issues, our evaluation feedback, the coming millage election and literacy night as informational items during our meeting on Monday.
We have had two instances of vandalism after hours with windows being broken out. I just want to caution everyone especially those of you with exterior windows to bring you blinds closed at the end of the day. It might not prevent everything but at least we don't leave classroom exposed visibly.
We have an assembly planned for Wednesday with two presentations. I would like to include the 6th grade by dividing up the group in two. Would it work to have a A-M attend at 8:00 and N-Z to attend at 9:00? I need some feedback from 6th grade staff.
Our focus on Thursday is to meet with 7th graders and use some of the data we have about their behavior and have a conversation with them.
Literacy Night has been a big event for us over the last few years, We'd like to continue this trend. It does require that we market and encourage our students to be in attendance. Please add this encouragement to your daily messages.
It is my understanding that we have received a number of Display boards for science fair projects I had suggested that they be placed in the school store and be available to students for tickets or purchase. If this is different than what students were told please let me know. I will inform students about this Monday morning.
