I had indicated to staff in our graduate class that we would likely be pulling you this week as a content area to work on our curriculum document. It is very difficult to secure substitutes in bulk and we will communicate with you as soon as possible. It may be necessary to pull you in smaller-groups.

Do Not Forget to Vote on Tuesday - The outcome will have a dramatic affect on our program next year either way it comes out. We will either have additional services, i.e. middle school alternative education or we will make cuts and have fewer staff.

Tuesday is educator appreciation day. As a token for all that you do a luncheon will be served in the staff lounger beginning at 10:30. The lunch is catered by Treat Street. The invitation to lunch is to all of our staff.

There is a posting for a building tag position. This position allows schools to have a person dedicated to additional training and trouble shooting in technology. There is a stipend for the position. Please see Atiba McKissack if you have any interest - or he may have to come and see you.

Jan provided everyone with the names of students who participated in our reading program and earned medals. We will give those medals to students on Wednesday afternoon. I will make an announcement to ask you to excuse those students from class for this event. Only those being recognized should attend. They will be out for the remainder of the day.

I will meet with all staff affected by this summers construction process at 7:00 on Friday Morning. All teachers in the elective classrooms west of the cafeteria will be affected by this summer's work. If you are not able to attend please see me personally to get the information.

If you were going to get an article in the school newsletter please see that Mark gets copy by Tuesday. We need to get to the printer with a copy ASAP.
