The lesson plans for advisory are very specific for Monday with a short clip on MLK airing at 8:45 on Channel 90. Announcements will scroll on channel 100 prior to the clip airing at 8:45.

I am asking Tamela and Vanessa to process a couple of issues around homework and suspensions with teachers at KEA Monday night. We need a little more clarity and a standardized practice across the school, please attend if you have thoughts around this topic.

Basketball for 6th grade girls will begin this Saturday. It is an intramural program just like it was for boys.

Jan is kicking off the "Go For the Gold," reading program. This will coincide with the winter Olympics. Students will receive a medal based on the number of books they read. Please promote this in your advisory classes as part of daily messages.

I will be taking some footage of the all school read over the next couple of weeks, If you have a specific reading strategy that you'd like me to capture please let me know.

Team leaders received some data in our leadership meeting last week that spoke to the degree of implementation we were able to document on a central office walk-through last week. please consider this data and your roll in improving it. We'll be tracking this information bi-weekly to look for improvement trends. Our next magnet school evaluation site visit will be Monday, February 15. Evaluators will spend the entire day with us.

The PBS team has a data review with Dorr this Thursday at West Main.
