Maggie, Kai and Vanessa will lead professional development on Monday. I will be with Tamela, Mark, Mary, Rana and Carlotta attending the National Magnet Schools Conference. We will make a presentation on our Magnet effort to date.

We will be AIMS testing through the week, there is a schedule developed and we will do make-ups the week of May 10th.

Teachers will receive a copy of the list of targeted intervention students and the data that was used to make that determination. Please look it over and flag any student who you think might be inappropriately placed on this list. Do not share this information with students. Students will receive notification from central office of their status as an intervention identified student.

Don't forget Tuesday is an election day, we would have extreme difficulty if this renewal didn't pass.

There were a number of issues that surfaced during last week's lockdown drill. Probably the biggest concern was that students in some classes did not move out of sight from the hallway and there was too much noise being made.

We will hold an orientation session on Wednesday, May 12 from 7-8 p.m. for incoming 6th graders and their parents. If you are able to be present and assist this evening please let me know so we can plan accordingly.
