Literacy night is a mandatory attendance event for all teachers. We have cancelled our professional development on Monday, March 5, to accommodate this event on our meeting schedule. Staff planning this event anticipate a turnout similar to last year’s. Please talk this event up in your advisory class.

State Evaluators, Rick and Helen, will be here on Tuesday. They have specifically asked to speak with different staff members. Ruth has arranged a schedule for their visit.

Our assembly on Wednesday is the Kappa League high school students. We will meet in the cafeteria and seating will be tight, some students may have to stand. 8th grade - 2nd hour and 7th/6th grade - 3rd hour. Students should report to class and teachers will dismiss students to class as soon as roll is taken. Students may be returning to class should time allow. Teachers whose classes are in attendance should be present in the assembly to help with supervision.

I’m reminding you that EdPerformance testing begins Monday, March 5. This will compromise access to room 924 computer lab and in some instances we may have to use laptops from your team. This is essential information that we have to get in terms of students progress. Diane and Karen provided a specific set of directions during this testing, please see either one of them if you have any questions.

8th grade advisory teachers please remind students that Norrix has an orientation scheduled for March 6th at 7:00 on the Freshman Academy.

Diane circulated an agenda for our School Improvement Team meeting on Tuesday. Anyone is welcome to attend.

I have been working with Human Resources and Millie Lambert on a letter of agreement over our advisory program. She will be here on Monday, March 5, at 2:30 to speak with staff about this particular program.
