Monday we will have a visit from Representative Fred Upton. I'm not sure how extensive the tour will be in the building. He'll be here approximately 1 hour and will be speaking to a group of 8th graders on government and US History in the library.
We have closed the bookstore temporarily to help improve hallway traffic at lunch time. We want to revisit the hall expectations and teacher procedures for tardiness. Remember not to send students into the hallway on pass teh first 10 minutes of class. We have gotten lax on this issue.
The PBS team will meet immediately following the KEA meeting on Monday night to review data and continue the planning process for behavioral intervention and system analysis.
February 27, is vision screening day. The county health department will conduct vision screens on any 7th graders we want to recommend. Please forward the names of any students to Char. We don't screen the entire 7th grade just students we suspect have vision problems.
Wendy will meet with the student committee working with her on Literacy Night at 7:40 on Tuesday morning in the library. Wendy is still in need of staff volunteers for other aspects of this event and will be approaching you for help in the near future. This event is just around the corner on March 10th.
Teacher will get a memo from me in the next couple of days regarding attendance responsibilities on absence days. We need to have a common system and expectation for this task. It is causing a wrinkle with our plan to use the automated phone calling system to notify parents of unexcused attendance.
