We have a mandatory staff meeting Monday afternoon in room 415 beginning at 2:40. We will touch on some general informational issues for 20 minutes and them you will have the remaining time to work in a department meeting. There will be a voluntary meeting following our staff time at 3:45 to discuss classroom management and strategies for student engagement.
There will be a film crew in the building on Monday shooting footage for promotional materials. They will be in and around the school between 10:30 and 12:30.
Open House is scheduled for Thursday, September 18, from 6:30 - 8:00.
Reminder, Maggie has a brief 15 minute team meeting planned with all teams on Tuesday to reinforce code of conduct and introduce students to the tier concept.
I will provide you with more detail on our advisory time Thursday this week You should be aware that the schedule is different on Thursdays because of advisory.
If you are interested in having a pre-intern from WMU work in your classroom please let Dawn Kahler know. She coordinates with WMU's Department of Education in this area. No guarantees but you can put a request in.
We start the Uglies this week. You should have discussed this as a team by now and have a distribution plan and a reading schedule for your team.
