Reminder that Erin has a field trip with some of her Spanish students to Chicago this Thursday.

Thanks to everyone for helping get lesson plans in to me by Friday. It was very helpful to get the binder together this weekend and then get it to Barb Witzak. Evaluators will be here on Friday. I can't tell you for sure how many classroom we will get to. I'll try to get them to as many as possible.

Work begins Monday night on the student assignment committee. The Board of Education wants a recommendation on how the middle schools should be assigned enrollment for next year. The recommendation should be made by late January.

Boys basketball season begins this week and 6th grade girls start their tournament this Thursday.

We have a couple of specific topics for discussion this week at leadership. We will discuss intervention strategies for failing students, the building plan to add an additional team of 6th grade for the 2009-2010 year, the calendar and process for continued magnet curriculum work.

I have information on excellence in education educator incentive grants, if anyone is interested. It is generally for the purpose of a professional development experience you may want to explore.
