Obviously the library will be closed on Monday and Tuesday this week as we prepare for our author visit. Tamela provided staff directions regarding the staff supervision during the grade level presentations. I want to add that I hope you will actively supervise. Students who are unable to attend to program should be reminded and reseated or removed if they are creating any type of disruption.

I will be at WMU on Monday interviewing teachers at the career fair. Maggie will be a Eastern on Thursday doing the same thing.

I am assuming that we get to use Friday PM for building PD, I don't see anything listed in the KEA master calendar. So we will plan to start at 11:30 and will go to 2:30. We will continue our magnet work as a focus of our PD time.

We will conduct a tornado drill during 3rd hour on Wednesday. Please review that procedure in your staff handbook ahead of time. Everyone has a designated area we move to and wait until we are released back to class. We conduct two of these drills each year. This is our first one.

Rick and Helen will be here on Thursday to work with us on magnet curriculum and school improvement. We are to provide Central office with a draft of our school improvement plan on the goal of improving reading achievement by this Friday.

Please get any of the bond sheets to Mary that you may have on your team. We have to turn them in to the community bond team by Wednesday this week.
