Monday choir students will be out part of the day for a rehearsal at Chenery. They will perform with the other middle schools in a city-wide concert Monday at 7:00.

Dawn has the information from WMU regarding pre-interns. If you would like a pre-intern to work in your class during WMU's Summer session let Dawn know. and she will communicate that information to WMU.

You will or may have already received a flyer on the upcoming ERACE training coming in June. Please let Tamela know by the 30th if you will be attending. There are 40 spaces reserved for our staff first. They will be released after the 30th to other KPS staff.

We still have a couple more fire drills to do and we will make some changes to the tornado drill map.

Thursday is our first film/video festival. We will run an assembly schedule so that we can air the films school-wide at approximately 1:30. Students will stay in their 7th period class and watch the broadcast on channel 90. If your class has issues with channel 90 please make an arrangement to view with another class. PE can use 8th grade classrooms of teachers on plan 7th period for this event.

Thursday is our first track meet of the year. As always we can use help timing and running events. Please let April know if you can help out.

On Friday a group of students from our school will be involved in a training with the Ignite program to be a mentor for other students. We will be using these students to help with the orientation of incoming 5th graders who will be visiting in May.

On Friday we also have a group from Loy Norrix coming to visit with some 8th graders. It is a 30 minute presentation on opportunities for performing arts in high school. I will communicate with team leaders more detail. I think we are looking at a 10:00-10:30 program.
